The Liefde Organization offers confidential, trauma‑informed services designed to support survivors, their families, and communities at every stage of the healing journey. All services are offered on a sliding‑scale basis so that cost is never a barrier to safety or support.

Services

We offer a range of specialized services tailored to meet your individual needs. Our approach is focused on understanding and responding to what you require, providing effective and practical solutions.

Individual Therapy

  • Individual therapy offers a safe, confidential space to process your experiences, reduce anxiety and trauma symptoms, and rebuild a sense of safety and self‑worth.
  • Therapists use trauma‑informed, survivor‑centered approaches tailored to each person’s needs, including support around safety planning, boundaries, grief, parenting, and life transitions after abuse.

Family and Group Therapy

  • Family therapy helps families affected by domestic violence work toward healthier communication, repair trust when appropriate, and create safer, more supportive home environments.
  • Group therapy and support groups bring survivors together to share experiences, learn tools for healing, and know they are not alone, all in a structured and professionally facilitated setting.

Advocacy and Court Support

  • Advocates walk alongside survivors as they navigate complex systems such as legal, medical, housing, and social services.
  • Support can include help with safety planning, understanding rights and options, preparing for hearings, and connecting with community resources that meet practical needs.

Expert Court Testimony

  • When appropriate and requested, qualified professionals from The Liefde Organization can provide expert testimony in court related to the impact of domestic violence and trauma.
  • This service helps ensure survivors’ experiences are understood in context and that courts receive clear, evidence‑informed information about the dynamics and effects of abuse.

Community Education and Training

  • The Liefde Organization offers workshops and trainings for schools, workplaces, community groups, and professionals on topics such as recognizing signs of abuse, responding safely, and supporting survivors.
  • Education efforts aim to reduce stigma, encourage earlier intervention, and build communities that respond to domestic violence with empathy, accountability, and action.
